Bishop
Simeon Trust
As
the festive season is upon us and you might have a little more
time to think than usual, we would like to remind you of our
nominated charity; the Bishop Simeon Trust.
Interregna’s Director, Malcolm Alexander, worked for many
years in Uganda and Malawi, and has seen first-hand the inequalities
particularly in healthcare in Africa. The Bishop Simeon Trust
works to improve healthcare and education for South Africa’s
poorer communities, particularly those blighted by AIDS and the
legacy of apartheid.
Malcolm says “There are many aid agencies
of different sizes doing good work in Africa. We were particularly
attracted
to the Trust, though, because they have a small, dedicated team
whose efforts are practical and make a real difference within
the communities where they are needed most.”
